Community Arts Building

This Community Arts Building provides a multifunction studio for the creative arts within the grounds of Glencanisp Lodge.

The main structure is built from roundwood logs, prepared & jointed by log-builder Henry Fosbrooke. The log structure encloses a series of interlocking 'modules' which were prefabricated in factory conditions by Carbonlite Design & Build, before being delivered to site.

The roundwood logs were harvested from the site itself, and felled trees were milled on site to provide the majority of external claddings, as well as the surrounding deck structure and boards.

The roof is covered with turf, also cut on the estate.
